INETA keeps growing and growing…
This is so cool to see. To wax nostalgic for a moment, I remember back in the early months of 2002 when I spent an obscene amount of time with what would become the founding members of INETA, trying to determine just what this association would become, how Microsoft would be involved, and how we could help keep it community-owned, highly relevant and useful to its members. I recall there being what, 7 user groups involved back then, all in the US? Now it seems they have over 700 from all over the world.
One day I’ll look back on my time in Microsoft and recall some of the most fun events I ever attended as those annual INETA UG Leader Conferences we held at TechEd or VSLive (including TechEd Europe in Barcelona…now THAT was fun :-)). Rooms filled with motivated, incredibly passionate user group volunteers who loved being able to share ideas, make friends, and help each other out. Always walked away from those a bit more inspired about my job.
