Wagged’s role with Microsoft blogging
This is a fantastic idea from Steve Rubel:
Waggener Edstrom should have a daily blog that highlights the 25 most important posts coming out of Microsoft’s army of corporate bloggers that also includes an agency POV for the press
To many in the press still getting their feet wet around corporate blogging, a daily briefing sheet such as this could help them make sense of the thousands of daily posts MS bloggers make.
The trick is that Wagged would have to highlight the unflattering and controversial posts as well as the nice, community-loving posts. Otherwise it ends up as a blog-generated daily press release, which sort of defeats the whole purpose.

Interesting idea. There are probably close to 2000 Microsoft bloggers. Someone would have to spend some serious time reading through them to find out which ones are worth checking on a daily basis. Depending on how many of them are updated on a given day the person at Wagged would be very busy. Probably be a full time job.
I think that this is a brilliant idea! Sure it’s a lot of work but I think that having someone (heck, even a team of people?) pulling together the daily “story from inside the machine”. Can’t believe that this hasn’t happened actually.
I’ll ask…
