Farewell, Mr Krugman
Instead of the usual bevy of opinion pieces listed on the NY Times site today, I saw this. “TimeSelect” is the latest gambit by the NYT to try to monetize online content, centered on the columnists.
They of course have a right to charge for access to their writing online. Unfortunately I’m not ready to pay $49.95/year for that benefit.
So although I love reading Krugman and Rich and Hebert et al, I’ll have to do without. It was a good workout for the mind while it lasted.

I’m pretty sure you can get (at least) Frank Rich, if not all the op-ed writers, on the International Herald Tribune’s web site.
