Excessive abuse of beta
Back in January Joe Wilcox at Jupiter Media took a shot at Microsoft (and to be fair, other vendors in general) for tending to launch products in beta and sort of leave them there indefinitely. Now, there are a lot of offenders here, BUT I think we have a new winner for most egregious (and pointless) use of the term “beta”:

How long have they been in “beta” now? Through an acquisition?

Don’t they call this phenomenon, ‘perpetual beta’? Continuous improvement without ever having to come out of ‘beta’… Flickr claims that they do improvements to the code multiple times each DAY.
