I think, though, that it's since moved beyond just the standard "hey, get with the program" digs used by design junkies ... and has just devolved into just general snottiness that really doesn't do anything but alienate the people that they are trying to win over/inform. Because, as you said, those of us who already have some basic idea of what they're saying are already using several browsers on a regular basis. Good points, thanks for posting this.
