Off to Paris, but not Les Blogs…sigh…

Nothing quite like kicking off a new job with a trip to Paris! I’m off tomorrow for a couple days of planning meetings with my soon-to-be colleagues and agencies – definitely going to be a “drinking from the firehose” experience as I attempt to suck up as much knowledge about Windows Live, MSN, and current campaigns in the shortest time possible.

One thing I realized just a moment ago – I’ll be in Paris at the same time Les Blogs is going on (I noticed Tara’s jam packed schedule for next week starting with the conference. wow). I attended Gnomedex 2005 in Seattle, and love the atmosphere, so I can imagine Les Blogs will be just as interesting.

While I think I’m booked out for those two days, does anyone know of anything going on Tuesday night I could tag along to? It seems my new employer is a Platinum Sponsor, so maybe I should start some quick networking inside the shop. :-)

Given I’ll be working on Search Champs and other Windows Live community efforts, I would LOVE to talk shop with anyone who has thoughts on what MSN/WL could do to reach out to the community more effectively (and with more fun, more excitement…).
