Pirillo’s Great Seattle Restaurant Roundup
Chris Pirillo does a great writeup of a range of Seattle restaurants – a nice local’s viewpoint for anyone visiting. My own few comments:
I agree with Chris on Seastar in Bellevue . It’s probably the best higher-end dinner spot east of Lake Washington. If you want to trek farther east, DC’s Steakhouse on the Sammamish plateau (“the Met’s little brother” as Citysearch calls it) is our default dinner spot. Good overall steaks and seafood selection, some random less expensive item like meat loaf and pastas, and a fantastic little atmosphere. Plus it’s reasonably kid-friendly if you get there early.
Back downtown (Belltown) my all time favorite is still Flying Fish. Although if you head down a couple blocks closer to the water, Todd English’s Fish Club makes a mean lamb shank in tangine (spicy as hell, but worth it).
