Reading through the Office Live Blog today, I noticed a post about a new “audio webcast” called Connections: Unplugged. Let’s see, it:

  • Is a monthly, repeating, audio interview series
  • with an RSS feed

Why not just call that what it is, a podcast?
Of course I just noticed, you can’t actually download the sound file, and the RSS feed only serves to let you know when a new podcast is online, it doesn’t actually download it for you. So I guess it isn’t a podcast.

Great concept – a monthly small business podcast-like series that helps explain how Office Live can help your business. So why not take the next logical step, make the .wma or .mp3 file available for download, and seed the series out through iTunes and elsewhere? That could rapidly raise the visibility and listenership. I’d start listening, whereas I don’t have much patience to play it live in my browser.
