File this one under “Blog Fun For the Day”:

One of Mike Arrington’s properties – CrunchGear, a competitor to Engadget – posted a YouTube video with a sneak peek at Leopard, Apple’s next version of the Mac OS (no link love for Apple in this post…penalty box for stupidity).

Apple, in true “silence all!” form, sent Mike a Cease & Desist letter. Mike rightly points out that if they just bothered to get YouTube to take the video down, it would not longer appear on CrunchGear or anywhere else.

But the fun part? The C&D Letter opens with the admonition “NOT FOR POSTING”. So Mike posts it in full: http://www.crunchnotes.com/?p=268

Lesson – anything you send a blogger is liable to get posted. Period.
