At first I thought it was my wife’s work laptop just acting strange - I had no real theories, but couldn’t fathom what was causing it. Right in the middle of her working on it, the screen resolution would reset down to 1024×768, and she’d have to go back in and manually set it back. Whenever it would happen I would shake my head and move on.

Now it just happened to me…what the hell? Anyone come across this? We’re both running XPSP2, so this isn’t an issue with a beta OS. In fact, she doesn’t run beta software of any kind, so that’s one variable gone.
