Looking for that perfect color matched, Creative Commons photo?
The mass of photos posted to Flickr under Creative Commons license is a gold mine for bloggers, designers, developers – basically anyone who has a desire to incorporate photography into their work. A big challenge however is finding appropriate photos that match the colors you need to work with (ala Etsy’s wonderful color search tool for crafts, art, and so on).
Thanks to some great Tweeples out there, I found out about the Multicolr Search Lab Flickr Set from Idee. I love how you can search for photos from Flickr’s “Interesting” set that match multiple colors, such as a red and green in the example below.

Nearly a perfect tool – if they would mesh this with contextual search so you could narrow it down by subject (I like flowers and all, but still), that would be a huge improvement. Either way, bookmarked as one of my handy blogging tools.
