Hey there, visitor.

By way of introduction, I am a marketer and dad living in the Pacific Northwest while harboring a nagging obsession with Oregon Duck sports. On a professional level I have a passion for and skills around community marketing – that confluence of old-school grassroots, traditional public relations, and newfangled online social media. Currently I’m working on freelance marketing projects (Social Mallard LLC) and a couple side team initiatives.

I’m available for hire, full time or contract, for community and social media marketing, product marketing, copywriting (case studies, blogs, etc.), and limited blog development work. Email me if you’re interested.

Projects and Blogs
I blog on marketing, social media and wordpress at Social Mallard, on being a dad at Embrace the Pink, and occasionally on gaming and EVE Online at DrawingAggro. I’m also working on a simple iPhone app, a web service for parents, and some odd stuff with video – all that to be shared soon, I hope.

I am not this guy. He plays guitar and sells lots of music. I have no musical talent. Unfortunately he got the better domain before I did.

Regarding this blog…
kevinbriody.net is built using Wordpress and currently shows off my interest in minimalist themes. The last three iterations of this site ran a version of Thesis, my own heavily modified variaton on the default “Kubrick” theme called “Wheaton Scores”, and a styling of K2 called “Mallard Red”. My tools and toys of choice include Mac OSX, Coda, ImageWell, and Photoshop CS3. Visit this page for a list of all active plugins used on this site.
